Gross Rental Yield
Gross rental yield measures annual rental income before deducting expenses as a percentage of the property's purchase price or value.
For example, if a property generates annual rent of 1 million and its purchase price is 20 million, the gross rental yield would be 5%.
Because gross yield does not account for maintenance, vacancy, taxes, management fees, repairs, or other expenses, it should not be treated as the investor's actual net return.
